2025 NFL MVP Picks By State According to X (Twitter)
BetOnline has created a map based on geotagged X (Twitter) data in the two weeks tracking tweets, hashtags, and direct keyword phrases about who should win this season's NFL MVP.
For example, "Josh Allen is the MVP," "Lamar Jackson will win MVP," "Saquon Barkley is the MVP" or any tweet mentioning the top candidates that also have hashtags like #MVP. Over 125,000 tweets were tracked.
As you can see from the map, NFL fans are largely split between two players - Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. In addition, Saquon Barkley, Jared Goff, and Joe Burrow were also able to win their home states.
While the award is supposed to only account for regular season play, one has to wonder if playoff performance will be a factor (even if it's not supposed to be). And after Wild Card weekend, 4 of the top 5 candidates are all still playing. (Some would argue that if the Bengals could have made the playoffs, Joe Burrow would have a legitimate chance of winning the award).
In reality, it really comes down to Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson, and from a fan perspective it seems very close.
